International Special Session on "Advances in Intra-body Communication"
Intra-body communication (IBC) uses the human body as a transmission channel, becoming a promising approach for the development of the physical layer of wearable devices for low-power personal health systems. It currently encompasses the integration of several research lines, such as skin bioimpedance analysis, computational electromagnetics, electromagnetic interactions with living tissues, etc. The objective of this special session is to bring together researchers in the field of intra-body communication, to exchange their ideas and approaches, to discuss and to present recent advances and results on this field, addressing emerging issues, and new solution methods.
This special session is organized within the 4th International Conference on Wireless Mobile Communication and Healthcare (MobiHealth 2014), which will be held in Athens (Greece), November 3–5, 2014.

Each contribution must be prepared according to the IEEE formatting guidelines (please check Author's kit). Manuscripts should be up to four (4) pages long and should be submitted electronically in their final form before the paper submission deadline, including an abstract, no longer than 300 words. Submissions must include the title of the paper, each author's name and affiliation. Check the Paper Submission for specific information on the electronic submission process. All papers will be peer-reviewed the Technical Program Committee and judged with respect to their quality, originality, and relevance.
